I have recently upgraded to talk talk medium fibre and my media link black panther box has trouble connecting to the server. I used to have a broadband talk talk router and the box was fine until I upgraded to fibre. Any ideas how to resolve? Maybe some network settings on the open box? Many thnaks
Press Menu Select CAS press OK Enter code 9999 on the remote control to open up extra features Select CAMD press OK Choose either CCcam or Newcamd. Then enter your lines.
Thank you. I have done this but does not help. Sometimes the channel is on for a few seconds and sometimes a few minutes then it gets scrambled. If you can create a new temporary line for a few days, maybe this will help using a new port, username etc.....maybe newcamd as this might also help. Please let me know if this is something we can try?
try setting a static ip on you device make sure your device has latest firmware alot of TT routers come with old firm ware on them also if you are runnin on wifi try it hard cabled. last thing you will need to do is find out what port to open.
If its a 633 model you can go into the panel select the device and open up or lock down more settings
I have tried static and does not seem to help. on DHCP, I have noticed on the CAS menu on my media link box that the last digit on the IP address can change - is this normal. I have seen it go from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.24....is this evidence of something not working correctly between the TT router and the media link box?
when you talk about firmware, is this the firmware on the router or my media link box? in any case, how do I make sure it has the latest firmware?
My box is hard wired to a HG633 TT router and have never used WiFi (do not have the dongle necessary to make box wireless).
Can you expand on what you mean by "what port to open"? if this is a setting on the TT router, please could you give more detailed info on how to do?
Apologies but I a fairly new to this so your help would be most appreciated.
